ROADWORKS that caused serious delays for drivers in Abingdon were due to be completed yesterday.

Thames Water had to replace a fire hydrant in Drayton Road at the request of Oxfordshire County Council’s fire service.

The work delayed traffic in the area during the rush-hour on Tuesday night.

Traffic queues built up on Drayton Road, Spring Road and around the double roundabout at the junction of Spring Road and Ock Street.
