TWO people have been injured in a crash on the A361 near Ascott-under-Wychwood this afternoon.

Firefighters had to cut free one person from the wreckage, whilst the other person was able to get out themselves.

It happened around 5pm and Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue sent two engines and an air ambulance also landed at the scene.

South Central Ambulance spokeswoman Gillian Hodgetts said: "We were called to a two vehicle road traffic collision and there are two patients.

"An air ambulance was sent and landed at the scene."

Reports showed queues backing up in the area as emergency services are still at the scene.
