FAIRYTALE Farm, near Chipping Norton, is being staffed by Christmas elves until Christmas Eve to get children into the festive spirit.

As well as the staff’s costumes there is also a Santa’s grotto, an enchanted walk attraction and activities including cookie decorating and carol singing.

The farm’s Mouse Town is also getting into the Christmas spirit, with a sprinkling of snow and a Christmas tree.

The miniature rural English village, which opened in July in a former stable building, is populated by 10 real life mice who are free to roam about the make-believe shops.

Cafe worker Cerys Sumners said: “It’s nice working at Christmas. The costumes make everything feel more festive.”

The 15-year-old, who works at the farm in the holidays, said: “We’ve got lots of Christmas stuff on. It’s really popular.”

Everything at the farm is designed around the needs of children with sensory, learning and physical disabilities.

It is open at weekends until Sunday, December 21, then every day from December 22 to Christmas Eve.
