THE A44 near Wootton, West Oxfordshire has reopened in both directions after an accident.
A pedestrian was taken to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries following a collision with a car.
The incident occurred at about 8am this morning at the junction of the A44 and the B4437 outside the Duke of Marlborough Pub near Wootton.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Rhianne Pope said: “There was a collision between a silver Ford Mondeo and a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian has been flown to the John Radcliffe with serious injuries.”
Traffic is easing although there are still queues.
