A ROAD in Glympton is still closed after a crash this morning because of electricity concerns.

At about 10.20am a black Mercedes hit a wall and telegraph pole on the B4027 at Glympton, north of Woodstock, between New Road and Tew Lane.

An electricity company was called to the scene to assess the damage to the pole.

The road is still closed in both directions because the company told police they will need to be there for another seven hours.

The driver was taken to hospital by ambulance and police are conducting house-to-house inquiries to find out what happened.
