MOVE over Movember, there’s a new facial fuzz craze hitting Oxford.

Film studies teacher Govind Chandran and colleague Danny Brewerton have dyed their beards pink for charity.

The Oxford Brookes University employees could not join the Movember craze – which involves growing a moustache to raise money for men’s health charities – as they already had facial hair.

So they have dyed their beards bright pink for Breast Cancer Campaign instead.

Mr Chandran, 26, has dyed his hair too. He said: “No-one sits next to me on the bus now but we’ve raised a lot of money for breast cancer, a cause everyone has been affected by in some way.”

The pair began raising funds through their Justgiving page last week, and since dyeing their hair on Monday have managed to raise £2,000 and inspired other colleagues to take part.
