A MAN has been arrested after three people were assaulted in St Thomas Street on Sunday, October 19.

A gang of four men attacked a 19-year-old man at about 2am, punching him and beating him, leaving him with bruising that needed to be treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Another man and a woman, both 20, intervened during the attack and were also hurt, although neither needed hospital care.

A 20-year-old man from Bicester has been arrested inconnection with the incident and bailed until November 21.

Investigating officer PC Ashley said: “CCTV footage shows members of the public walking near to the scene and at one point it appears they would have walked into the assault.

“I am keen to trace these people and speak to them as they may have vital information which could help with this investigation.”
