Looking at this duck pond today in Kidlington, you can see how low the ground water levels are. The duck's shelter is high and dry and the ramps that should reach the water are left clear like
diving boards. Let's hope we get some steady rain this winter to restore ourwater supplies for next spring.

Girlguiding Oxfordshire County Brownie Pack Holiday Fifty Six Brownies were lucky enough to attend a county pack hold at Stansfeld outdoor study centre the weekend 25 to 27 November 2011. The event
was the brain child of Fiona Joines the county residential advisor. Fiona has many years’ experience as both a leader with Brownies and in running successful pack holidays. Through her role as
Girlguiding Oxfordshire’s residential advisor for Brownies and Rainbows Fiona was aware that there are a number of leaders who do not have the experience to take their Brownies away. Brownie
leaders were invited to express an interest in attending not only a pack holiday but also a training event for them as leaders. After recruiting three experienced team leaders Fiona invited leaders
to join them and bring some of their Brownies along. Eleven leaders took up the challenge. The leaders split into three teams and each team took on a role for the weekend. These roles included the
catering, activities and general health and hygiene.

In the small community of Jericho, Oxfordshire, there is a diverse culture of small businesses. Some of these small businesses are being forced to close down and developed into student
accommodation. However, below this proposed student accommodation, there is an empty space. There has been a rumour that this empty space will rather regrettably become a Tesco. The tightly knit
community of Jericho are livid at this awful prospect. The people of Jericho are so upset because a Tesco will ruin the community culture and is not needed as there is a co-op around the corner.
The small businesses will be destroyed and owners will no longer be able to make a living. This happens all over the country and many cities have petitioned against Tesco and won. Join our Facebook
group to help stop Jericho from being ruined: http://www.facebook.com/pages/SAY--‐NO--‐to--‐Tesco--‐Jericho/254201904620959 Based on information supplied by .
