Shiplake's Barry Lambourne returns for Oxfordshire’s ‘must-win’ Middleton Cup match against the Isle of Wight at Oxford City & County on Saturday (1pm).

Lambourne was a late withdrawal due to injury from Oxon’s team that lost 122-110 to Middlesex at Bush Hill Park in their Group 2 Section B (South) opener.

But he’s back for the clash against the Islanders in place of the unavailable Jason King.

Lambourne comes in at No 3 in Mark Charlett’s rink, which also features Mick Nash and Remy Clanfield.

Otherwise, Oxon keep faith with the team that lost to Middlesex.

Team manager Steve Gilkes said: “One bad result doesn’t make bad bowlers or a bad team.

“The players know that only a win will be sufficient to keep our chances of group qualification alive, so will be well prepared and well up for this game.”
