On Friday 4th November, Lewknor C of E Primary School held a ‘Transformation Evening’, where the theme was: ‘I will survive’.
Lewknor is a small primary school situated within reach of Thame and Watlington, with a roll of less than 100 pupils.
Three classrooms were transformed to reflect ‘Arctic Survival’, ‘Shipwreck Survival’ and ‘Natural Disaster Survival’. All of the children dressed up for the occasion – with costumes ranging from a shipwrecked pirate to an iceberg!
Children and parents enjoyed activities such as building igloos, writing messages to put in bottles and learning bandaging skills for first aid. There were also a variety of quizzes, displays, singing and videos to entertain.
Said Lewknor’s head teacher Mrs Morgan: “Our regular Transformation evenings are a wonderful opportunity for the pupils to show their families and the local community just how much fun learning can be.”
