A Samaritan is urging mobile phone addicts to ditch the dialers to raise money in memory of her daughter.
Cilla Squires, who has volunteered at the Samaritans in Banbury for more than 25 years, is fundraising in memory to her daughter Claire, who died during the 2012 London Marathon.
The 30-year-old hairdresser was running the race for the Samaritans, but collapsed a mile from the finishing line.
Phone Free Friday will see people go without their phones from 9am to 5pm on Friday, June 20 and make a donation of £4, the cost of answering one Samaritans call.
