Companies are still signing up for The Oxford Times Jobs Fair where hundreds of career opportunities will be on offer for jobseekers.

Oxford Town Hall will be the venue for the first Oxford Times Jobs Fair of the year on Friday, February 17, starting at 10am.

It follows two successful recruitment events at the St Aldate’s venue last year, and so far more than 20 companies have agreed to attend.

The jobs fair in February last year attracted about 1,500 jobseekers and organisers are hoping the hall will be just as busy this time round.

The first event saw staff from 35 employers manning exhibition stands and there were 38 employers in September, including high street giant Marks & Spencer.

Care provider Day and Nightcare Assistance is again sponsoring the event and Thames Valley Police, Paterson Recruitment, Stagecoach Oxfordshire and Reed Recruitment are also attending.

Newsquest Oxfordshire's Belinda Rand, who is organising the event, said: "There is still time for companies to sign up."
