POLICE divers will continue underwater searches for a man who has been missing since Sunday.

Frank Rothnie went missing after leaving the Prince of Wales pub, in Church Way, Iffley, at around 12.45am.

The 54-year-old from Iffley Village is believed to have left the pub and walked down to the river Thames at Iffley Lock.

Thames Valley Police said divers would continue to scour the lock after they started searching yesterday.

Police and the fire service searched the area and moved boats on Monday and Tuesday.

The divers performed a series of underwater searches yesterday, but nothing was found.

Mr Rothnie was last seen wearing a Waitrose supermarket uniform.

He is white, 5ft 9in with grey hair and may have been carrying a brown satchel.

Det Insp Jim Holmes, from Oxford Force CID, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who has seen Mr Rothnie or anyone with information about his whereabouts.

"If you have any details which could help to locate him please contact police so we can ensure he is safe.”

Anyone with any information about Mr Rothnie’s whereabouts should call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting URN 932 15/11.
