A WOMAN has reportedly been taken to hospital after crashing into the back of a row of parked taxis in the centre of Abingdon this morning.

A witness said the woman’s blue Ford Focus went into the back taxi in a row of three in Ock Street near the Ask Italian restaurant shortly before 11.15am.

Sam Third, who lives in the centre of Abingdon, told the Oxford Mail the woman was taken out of her car and put in the back of an ambulance.

He said: “There were three fire engines, four ambulances and a lot of police cars, the centre of Abingdon was at a standstill.

“When I got there the ambulance crews were attending to a female driver of the car.”
