FOUR people have been arrested after a man was left with a fractured eye socket after an attack in Bicester.

Police said the victim, 38, was in Market Square at about 12.15am yesterday when he was approached by two men and a woman.

They attacked him, along with a third man who may not have been with the group, officers said.

The victim was left with cuts, bruises and a fractured eye socket, needing treatment at the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Police said there was no description of the offenders at this stage of the investigation.

Three men, aged 28, 26 and 21, and a 28-year-old woman have all been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the attack.

The 26-year-old, from Bicester, and the 28-year-old man, from Oxford, have been released on police bail until May 12.

The woman, who is from Bicester, has been released on police bail until July 2.

Meanwhile, the 21-year-old, also from Bicester, is still in custody.

Det Sgt Mike West said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact police so we can bring the perpetrators of this unprovoked and serious assault to justice.

“If you have any information, however insignificant you think it might be please call police via 101.”
