KYLE BYFIELD's family tonight said the support of the community had helped them to deal with his tragic death.

The 23-year-old was discovered by police in Jubilee Court, Banbury, on Thursday April 16 with puncture wounds. He was rushed to the Horton General Hospital but died later that day.

Natasha Capell, of Jubilee Court, has been charged with his murder and the 26-year-old appeared in Oxford Crown Court this morning.

Tonight Mr Byfield’s parents Roni and Alan, and his girlfriend Laurie Peach released a tribute to him.

Mrs Byfield said: “Firstly Alan, Laurie and I and both families would like to say how much we appreciate all the love and support from the local community that has been shown.

“We are all overwhelmed by the generosity people have shown towards Kyle.

“We cannot name you all but here are a few; Steve Hunt, the Sawyer family, Tracey Yeomans and Chris Phillips."

The grieving family spoke about Mr Byfield's happy go lucky personality and revealed this was the second tragedy they had suffered.

They said: "Kyle was our first child who adored his younger sister Aleah who we lost to asthma 10 years ago. He was a loving, caring son, who would do anything for friends and family.

“He had a fantastic character and was a happy go lucky young man. He was the joker and life and soul of the party.

"Family and friends will always remember him for his cheeky smile and charm. Kyle loved to ‘dress to impress’ and was always fashion conscious.

“He loved his sports and was a very good football and rugby player; he played both from the age of 6. He played for Banbury Bulls and many local football teams over the years.

“Kyle loved music and singing and dancing and was always showing ‘his moves’.

“We are all totally devastated and shocked by this tragic loss of our beloved Kyle. He will be greatly missed by all and forever in our hearts.”

Funeral details would be released shortly, they added.

Capell made a brief preliminary hearing appearance in court today. She is expected to give a plea on July 17 and has been remanded in custody.
