A 34-year-old woman was pushed to the ground and had her bag taken from her in Faringdon.
Thames Valley Police said a man pulled the woman’s bag from her shoulder at 11.20pm last night along a pathway between Berners Way and Walker Drive.
Officers said the victim, whose bag was found a short distance away, suffered swelling to the left side of her face but did not need hospital treatment.
The force has now appealed for information on the man, who is described as white, stocky and was wearing a black hooded jumper.
