A GIRL has claimed she had sex with a young man accused of grooming and exploiting teenagers in Banbury when she was 14 years old.

Ahmed Hassan-Sule is one of seven young men on trial for allegedly sexually abusing eight teenage girls in Banbury between 2011 and 2013.

Prosecution barrister Stuart Trimmer, QC, said in Oxford Crown Court the group was known as “BB or B2” and they subjected their victims to a cycle of abuse, which in some cases culminated in “rape and even gang rape”.

The defendants are Hassan-Sule, 21, of Glyndebourne Gardens; Said Saleh, 20, of Orchard Way; Mohamed Saleh, 21, of Orchard Way; Takudzwa Hova, 21, of Broughton Road; Kagiso Manase, 26, of Warwick Road; and Alexandru Nae, 19, of Broome Way.

They deny a total of 26 charges, including 19 counts of sexual activity with a child, two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, three counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault.

Yesterday, Mr Trimmer asked the witness, who is now 17 and cannot be named for legal reasons: “How did they behave towards you?”

She replied: “They were friendly.

(Hassan-Sule) would message me to meet, and I would always try and put him off. Eventually I met him and went round to watch a film with his friends at his house.”

Mr Trimmer asked: “What were you expecting to do there?”

She told him: “To watch a film, but I did have a feeling what could happen. I went in and like went on to the bed, started watching a film.

And then (Hassan-Sule) leans over and kisses me.

“Then he asked me if I wanted it, and I said yes.”

The prosecutor asked: “What did you think was being spoken of?”

The girl said: “Sex.”

Mr Trimmer said: “Was any of this anything that you didn’t want to happen?”

She replied: “No.”

The trial continues.
