A 22-year-old woman was killed when her car came off the A34 and into a tree near Kidlington this morning.

The woman was driving south when her white Seat Ibiza left the road and collided with a tree. Police were called at 12.25am.

There was no one else in the car and she died at the scene. Her family have been informed.

Police closed the Kidlington exit slip road while they investigated the circumstances of the collision. It was reopened by 4.15am.

Investigating officer PC Sarah Holmwood said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with any information about the collision to please speak to police.”
