A BODY was found after a fire at a caravan site motorhome.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescure Service said that the fire happened the Merryweather Caravan Park on Hook Norton Road. 

Spokesman Marcus Mabberley said Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at 10.06pm yesterday.

Four engines were sent, from Chipping Norton, Hook Norton, Charlbury and Moreton in Marsh.

Firefighters left the scene at 1.30am today. 

Thames Valley Police said they were called to the site at 10.12pm.

Police spokesman James Williams said: “A body was discovered at the scene, but identification is yet to take place. Next of kin have been informed.

“At this stage of the investigation the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.”

The force said that the fire was at Hook Norton, but this has been clarified by the fire service.
