A man has been arrested after a woman was allegedly raped outside a village pub.
Police yesterday said the attack, initially believed to be a serious sexual assault, was now being investigated as a rape.
The incident happened at about 2am on Sunday in the car park of the Black Bull pub in Banbury Road.
The victim had taken a bus from Oxford to Kidlington and got off near the pub. Her attacker got off at the same time.
A 24-year-old man from Kidlington was arrested yesterday on suspicion of rape and released on police bail until January 7.
