Two people had to be cut free from a vehicle after it rolled and crashed into trees on the A34 last night.

Emergency services were called to the scene, which was on the northbound carriageway between Oxford and Weston on the Green, at just after 11pm.

One person managed to escape from the vehicle, which is believed to be the only involved, but fire crews had to rescue two others.

A South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman said four ambulance crews, a doctor and an officer were dispatched to the scene.

She confirmed four patients were treated and taken to the John Radcliffe hospital, though their ages, genders and condition were not known.

Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Hannah Williams said: “We were called at 11.05pm last night to a report of a single vehicle collision involving a car on the A34 northbound between Kidlington and Bicester.

“The Mercedes left the carriageway and two people were trapped in the vehicle.

“The driver was able to get out and everyone else was released by 12.30am.

“The driver and passengers attended the John Radcliffe.

“One person had back injuries but none of the injuries were life threatening.”
