Oxford Food Bank has hired paid employees for the first time.
Cathy Howard and David Kay have been hired as co-ordinators after volunteering at the food bank, off Botley Road in West Oxford, for several years.
Chairman David Cairns said: “We did not take lightly ending the food bank’s voluntary model but the complexity and scale of our operations meant we had to act in the long-term interest of the charity.”
