TODAY may be the last time to enjoy autumn in all its glory, with temperatures in Oxford expected to peak at 17C before rain sweeps in later this week.

Like yesterday, there will be full sun for much of the day today.

Oxford University biologist Ross Robinson and daughters Katie, six, and three-year-old Alex, pictured, learnt about the cycle of life yesterday at the university’s Harcourt Arboretum in Nuneham Courtenay.

Mr Robinson, of Risinghurst, said: “We went to make patterns on the ground with the fallen leaves.
