A WOMAN accused of stabbing a man on an Abingdon tow path has appeared in Oxford Crown Court.

Natasha Elderfield, of no fixed address, is charged with murdering 33-year-old Robert Dobinson, locally known as Robert “Raggy” Smith.

The 40-year-old is alleged to have stabbed Mr Dobinson on Sunday night on the Thames Path, about 100-metres west of Abingdon Bridge.

She has been remanded in custody and is now due to enter a plea at a Crown Court hearing on January 14 next year.

A provisional date of April 7 has been given for her trial, which is expected to last about 10 days.
