A 74-year-old man who was injured when his motorcycle collided with a car last month has died in hospital.

The man, from Carterton, died on Sunday at the John Radcliffe Hospital, where he was being treated for head and leg injuries after the incident on September 26.

He was riding a blue and white motorbike when he collided with a black Vauxhall Zafira just before noon on the B4150 Marsh Lane near the slip road for the A40.

Police released a statement yesterday saying he had died and appealed for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
