Is Morrell Avenue and St Giles the only 20mph roads in Oxford? Oh no, their the easiest roads to catch motorists, nothing to do with safety.

Was going to post similar...it's always always St Giles & Morrell Av.

If you focus on the same place long enough, it helps to reinforce the speed limit.

I'm sure in time most 20mph zones in Oxford, where drivers undestand they have a personal easement, will be subject to monitoring.

The New Private Eye says...

The little confidence that I had left in The Police has now totally gone. This is a pure and simple money making exersize because the chief of the road Police previously stated that the 20mph zones in Oxford contribute nothing to road safety. They have created a them and us society, I if saw a copper getting a kicking I would close my eyes and walk the other way now.

Meanwhile Friday evening had countless cyclists with no lights or reflectors on their bikes. I also saw 3 bikes each carrying two people.
3 police cars parked along Cowley Rd at different places and not one cyclist got stopped.

Now if I'd have driven along Cowley Rd without my headlights on, and 10 people in the back of the car I would have got stopped and prosecuted for it.
