RESIDENTS were out in force on Saturday for the annual Jericho Street Fair.
Hundreds turned out for the Canal Street event, which featured live music and dance performances, market stalls and even demonstrations of wool spinning.
Narrowboat owner Lara Love spent the day creating bubbles and dyeing childrens’ hair.
She said: “It was a brilliant day and everyone had a lot of fun. The kids were ecstatic about all the bubbles, especially when the wind was blowing and they were going everywhere.
“I have been going for a few years now and it’s always a good celebration of life.”
She said money raised from her stall will go to the Jericho Wharf Trust.
Activities were clustered near St Barnabas Church, with performances from Oxford band the Jesters, Oxford City morris men and Oxford University morris men.
Izaak Hayward, of Nelson Street, attended the event with mum Sheri, 35.
The 11-year-old said: “We have only just moved here but I think Jericho is really lovely.”
