Why isn't the headline something like "Oxford celebrating its Pride"?

You can then mention the useful information about the road closures in the body of the piece. Surely road closure is not the only important thing about Pride Parade??

For the vast majority of Oxonians trying to go about their daily business yes, the road closures are the most important thing.

The day straight people can have a 'Straight Pride' march and the roads can be closed is the day that there will be equality. Closing the roads for just a small number of people was ridiculous.
