A fete worse than death.....

Posted on 1:33pm Monday 6th April 2009

Another week passes and the group is busy not only rehearsing three plays but also minds are concentrating on our stand at the village fete (27th June- Kingston House. Spanish wine that thinks it is a Bordeaux!

Posted on 1:44pm Thursday 2nd April 2009

When I received the Vina Paceta 2004 I expected a typical juicy Rioja with simple, bold flavours. What I got was exceptional. The oak and red fruits integrate and mingle in the mounth, creating a complex, luscious essence. The tannins are soft and chewy, and the length lasts an age, but finishes soft and smooth. This wine resembles a Bordeaux more than a typical Rioja. The only problem is you have to drive to Swindon to purchase it. It's £7.99 at Magnum Wine Shop, Swindon. If any Oxfordshire bodega owners or wine stockists are reading this, please order the Vina Paceta 2004 Crianz. Let me know, I'll be around to pick up a case when it comes in!
