School is not failing

Surely the headline on your story concerning primary schools being turned into academies (Oxford Mail, February 7), reading “This is the fresh start they need” should have continued “like a hole in the head”?

I fear that many of the named “failing” schools may have been listed in error by the county council.

Certainly, the one school I really know about – Larkrise Primary, in East Oxford – can only have been included as the result of some catastrophic error.

Both my sons attend Larkrise and are very happy and well educated there.
