Animals deserve rights

IT is becoming more and more widely accepted that animals experience many of the same emotions and sensations as humans do, such as fear, contentment, anger, happiness, sadness and physical pain.

So perhaps it is about time we recognised that animals are not here for our convenience.

Obviously animals do not need exactly the same rights as humans, but the right to a life free from suffering and exploitation is as important to them as it is to us.

A good place to start would be to stop intensively farming and slaughtering them for food, and to stop cruel experiments on them.

Good idea lets dispose of all those breeds that we only use for food.

Ahhh thats what we should do, eat grass and veg all day, no farmed animals, thing is i like Steak, Chicken, Lamb and stuff and cant see me doing without.

Mr Owen, hop off that planet your on and get back to reality, when an annimal tells you personally that it does not want to be farmed and he has read the animal rights manifesto then we can have a balanced discussion.

Until the animal tells you he is annoyed, carry on as you were.
