I HAVE just read the latest bulletin from John Tanner printed in the letters column in Wednesday’s Oxford Mail regarding his concerns about the lack of progress in Brexit negotiations.
It is well publicised that Brexit negotiations are being held up by unelected EU Eurocrats demanding that this country pay a very heavy price for voting to leave and destabilise the EU club.
Brinkmanship is going to play a huge part of the process. Why should we simply pay the huge sums to leave the EU demanded by these individuals who represent nobody other than their own huge pensions?
Mr Tanner hints that a Labour government could do better. Really?
A party that is dead in all but name now run by Communists, Momentum activists with a Marxist puppet as leader? The task of Brexit will be completed competently or we go with no deal, certainly not as a Labour government would have which is we will meekly take whatever the EU want to give us.
Time perhaps for members of the local Labour Party to reflect which side of the coin they support – democracy or Momentum?
