I FOUND Alex Hollingsworth’s comments on Barton Park very informative. I wonder if he could answer some other questions?

I think everyone would be interested to hear if the council will receive a percentage of the profit in lieu of payment for the land?

I had heard it would be 50 per cent of the profit. If this is the case how will Grosvenor calculate this?

But if the deal has changed will the developer receive any money for building and infrastructure for the 40 per cent social housing units, and if not is that going to be counted as Grosvenor’s contribution for the land and what will it be?

I can see that this is a very good way to provide social housing so badly needed. What will the council get to reinvest in new schemes?

I look with interest at how well the three-bedroom homes sell at £600,000. We are still left with the problem of the persistent rise in house prices that is blighting people who are not homeowners.
