THANK you to Paul Landon (Letters, September 26) for his comments regarding our number plates.
As a company that has been a part of Oxford for over 135 years, we have a strong sense of belonging among Oxford and its communities and our number plates reflect this.
Having said that, in response to previous criticism, we ended the practice of purchasing plates with the OXF suffix in 2014.
As older vehicles have been removed from the fleet, our existing plates have been transferred to newly-purchased vehicles – this is done at no additional cost to the standard registration fee levied by the DVLA for a new vehicle.
