I READ with total disbelief the outrageous comments made by John Tanner regarding his self-opinionated belief that all who voted for Brexit are idiots and fools.
The number of comments that have been printed show how this individual has caused distress yet again. This pompous individual has blighted local politics in Oxford for a number of years with childish stupid comments. His only time in charge of a Labour-run council in the 1990s saw the infamous Oxford Transport Strategy, which we are all still struggling to live with. He is a proven failure in public office and should resign, but if he hangs on all we can do is hope that a credible opposition stands against him.
Oxford does not need him or his ilk. It is credible elected individuals that help communities, such as the wonderful Mick Haines in Marston, and not a political party that supports Marxist individuals like John Tanner.
You’re supposed to be the leader of the Labour-led council, Bob Price. Stand up and put him back in his place.
