AS we enter the pantomime season I have picked out the the top three who as l see it are vying for the award for the most entertaining council official of 2016.
1. Dame (John Tanner) Twanky: Would love to be seen and known as the new Jimmy Dingle. Adores playing up to the electorate with controversial comments and supporting costly, useless city council schemes.
2. Mother (Bob Price) Goose Simply a lame duck in a position that requires real strength for the future development for the whole of Oxford, not just a city shopping centre.
3. Aladdin (Ian Hudspeth) A magician who conjures up wonderful schemes, such as tunnels under Oxford, to divert the electorate from the seriousness of continuous county cutbacks on child care and OAPs whilst supporting huge expenditure on road narrowing with traffic light blight.
Oxford needs to be able to move to prosper.
With the hope of credible oppositions arising to our councils in Oxford and the county in 2017, Oxford hopefully will then begin to prosper.
