DISCUSSION continues in possible changes to council areas and responsibilities.
Whether changes happen or not it would be most helpful to residents if there could be published a list of what each council is responsible for which would show where time and money could be saved.
Last week following an incident in the city I wrote to the cty council only to receive a letter saying the matter had been passed to the county council. Another area where there is some confusion is between what the NHS is responsible for and what rests with local councils.
Just to add, differences and disputes do occur between central government and councils.
At present Attendance Allowance is paid by the government which wants to pass it to local councils with carers not wanting this to happen.
