ONCE again the junior doctors have taken a step to try to protect our services.
A drastic step of long strikes is never ever taken lightly and we wish to send them support and thanks for standing up for a better NHS service which needs proper funding and should not discriminate against women and part-time workers.
It is very sad that the Conservative Government are determined to privatise and under-fund our NHS and that the national media, especially the BBC, will be rolling out the half truths that Mrs May and Jeremy Hunt want them to spin.
We prefer to listen to what the BMA and junior doctors say, they really know the service, they already work seven days a week and very long hours and have all our support in the forthcoming strike days and weeks.
Thank you for standing up for all of us.
DAVID WILLIAMS and ALISON WILLIAMS
Green Party County Councillor London Road Oxford
