Castle Mill is not good enough for Oxford. Plans to change the colour, cladding and planting will improve the situation in the short term.
Buildings do not have to be permanent. In 2014 we asked the University to demolish them after 25 years and replace them with a well-designed development which can sit happily alongside Port Meadow.
Twenty-five years is but a mere blip in the life of our wonderful city. We may have lost the views for now but let's get them back for future generations to enjoy.
