A newwater pipe is being laid on the eastern bypass (A4142). They started on the cycle track which I use daily to go to work at BMW.

As soon as they finished the laying of the pipe the cycle path has become a joke. I’ve had smoother rides off road. Holes are appearing on many occasions which are quite dangerous. One appeared over night on the April 19.

I have been emailing the county council about these issues. They have been doing some repairs but even these are not very good and as quick as they do repairs more holes appear. It may seem like a trivial issue on such a small stretch of cycle path but you would have to ride it to understand the problem.

I am sure there is a standard that the company doing this job have to work to and if the surface is this bad how long before the pipe they laid has problems and has to be done again?
