I am writing regarding the article about Laurie Pycroft (Oxford Mail, March 1).
I have lived in Oxford all of my life and it has many things to be proud of and the abuse of animals at the animal laboratory is not one of them.
Shame on Laurie Pycroft and the others who think that we, as humans, have the right to use and abuse animals. More than 200,861 animals have suffered legalised abuse and death at Oxford’s laboratory.
If Mr Pycroft were my son, I would be ashamed of him, certainly not proud!
