I HAVE been a carer all my life. That is what we should all be doing. Every one of us are involved in caring for someone.

Day centres are valuable to enable young people to be encouraged to play with their and to feel they can be supported with any issues they may have in confidence.

Homeless people also need help as some cannot help being in their situation. Caring for the elderly is very important. I am caring for my husband full time, I feel I am lucky because I have my family to support me. But some elderly people have no family and going to a day centre is the most important part of the week.

I work for Oxfordshire County Council as a foster carer and carer co-ordinator. I love supporting kinship carers. I telephone them to make sure they are okay, they all have to talk sometimes. I also have support groups to share any issues.

Caring for the community is very important. Please, councillors, think before any decision is made.

What a wonderful city we all live in. Please try to make the most vulnerable people feel someone cares for them.
