THE Redrow development has been built to the rear of our garden.

It is an intensive development, designed to squeeze in as many houses as possible and was passed by the Vale of the White Horse despite their admitting that it was “not particularly sustainable” at the planning meeting.

Traffic has already increased and the planned traffic-calming measures have not been put in place.

We have been subjected to loud radios despite Redrow being informed that vulnerable residents need to rest at times during the day; foul language; slippery mud on the road in winter; poor water pressure; windows and cars covered in dust; vibration from heavy machinery; pile driving, and so it goes on.

They have treated residents with no consideration or respect and seem confident (apparently with good reason) in applying to build another development in the village.

Now Redrow appear to have breached planning conditions by failing to provide adequate waste facilities which could cause problems for us all.

No-one seems to be particularly active in ensuring that they meet planning conditions and their attitude to residents and, indeed, the councils involved, seems to be ignored.

The new national planning rules have enabled these builders to take advantage with no consequences for their behaviour.
