I WISH to express my utter dismay at the actions of the trustees of Helen and Douglas House Hospice.

Sister Frances Dominica is an exceptionally good person.

She has worked tirelessly all her life, for others.

Many, many families and individual people owe her an enormous debt of gratitude.

Two anonymous women make allegations against her.

The police investigate and she is not charged and there is no ongoing investigation.

Why, then, did the trustees see fit to do a “Risk assessment” on this transparently good woman, and why have they seen fit to ban her from her hospices and, in so doing, destroyed her reputation and good name?

I find this all very deeply troubling.
