I AM researching my maternal grandfather’s family tree and write to request the assistance of your readers in tracing the descendants of my great-great-aunt Sarah Jane Page.
Born in 1857 at South Newington, she married Thomas Franklin in 1883 at the Methodist Chapel, Church Lane, Banbury.
Thomas, a baker, and Sarah lived at Church Street, Kidlington. They had one son, Thomas Alfred, known as Alfred and he had a son called Peter.
I accompanied my mother on several occasions when she visited Alfred’s sisters Elsie and Florence – they often mentioned Alfred and Peter. If anyone has any information regarding Sarah Jane’s family, I would appreciate hearing from them.
Additionally, if any of the readers are descendants of the wider Page family, I hope they will too get in touch.
