Why does the BBC lag so far behind what is actually happening?

There are no longer just two main parties with another trailing along and I am glad that other parties (with no chance in a first-past-the-post electoral system) can be heard at hustings. It may require more organisation and may take up more time than the BBC thinks the public can cope with, but these candidates must not be excluded.

And talking about excluding, the reckless way Oxford East independent candidate Chaka Artwell was treated by the BBC some months ago is certainly not something they should be proud of.

They misread the significance of the golly he likes to wear by suggesting it was offensive.

It would be good if someone from the BBC could sit down with Artwell and find out what a serious person he is. Maybe Bill Heine would like to do this?
