IF COMMON sense is to prevail for the greater good of the local community, Temple Cowley Pools must be allowed to remain or, as a last resort, at least become integrated within the entity of a new housing development.
Furthermore, it makes no economic sense to abolish such a much-needed, wanted and valued public amenity that serves to enhance the quality of human lives in the locality, through its provision of leisure and sport facilities.
Nor can the new leisure centre of Blackbird Leys on any account justify the closure of TCP.
