JOHN Tanner in his letter ‘Blackwood is struggling to hold on to her position’ appears to have got his figures mixed up.
The Ashcroft poll based on asking people how they intended to vote in the Oxford West & Abingdon constituency: Conservative 38 per cent; Liberal Democrat 30; Labour 18; UKIP 9; Green 4.
And the actual votes cast in the constituency during the last two years’ local elections were as follows: Liberal Democrat 35; Conservative 29; Labour 18; Green 9; UKIP 8 It would appear to me that the Lib Dem can win! The most likely person to beat Nicola Blackwood on May 7 is Layla Moran.
