I am writing concerning the speed that motorists and motorcyclists use on the road at the rear of our home.

It is a 40mph max zone and everyday all day, but more so at night, vehicles pass my bedroom window easily exceeding 60-70mph. They are Iiterally using the road as a race track.

I’ve listened to this for quite a long time, seen my neighbour’s cat flattened and numerous other pets and wildlife victims of these idiots that are using this area in a very dangerous manner.

It is totally ridiculous that speed cameras are on many roads across Oxford, but the majority being placed in areas that are more of a money spinner rather than the obviously more important reason of saving lives.

I sit and listen each evening and as these idiots pass at unnecessary speed a grim thought passes through my mind: ‘Will it be today that I have got to hear, then see an aftermath of total carnage?’ It is only a matter of time before sadly lives are tragically lost.

The area is between Watlington Road Roundabout and Brake Hill Roundabout.

It is possible to see either end because of the curve of the road, meaning these chancers think they are ok as they can see if the law is watching.
